Curated List of Recommended Tools and Software You'll Need to Succeed Online!
#1 for Hosting Websites and Blogs
All of my niche sites and blogs are hosted on SiteGround. Why? Because I was sick and tired of lackluster hosting from GoDaddy (with terrible customer service) and after a recent horror story with Bluehost (with even worse customer service) it was time for a change.
Since switching to SiteGround I’ve experienced continuous up-time, higher speeds, automatic site backups, free SSL certificates (from Let’s Encrypt), and the hands-down best customer service I’ve ever experienced from any web host.
I challenge you to test out the exceptionally high level of customer service from SiteGround for yourself. I would be extremely surprised to hear that after comparing SiteGround with your current host, that SiteGround didn’t have a notably higher lever of customer service.
I highly recommend using SiteGround to host your website or blog.
#1 for Domain Name Registration
After spending several years registering my domain names with GoDaddy I recently decided to switch to Namecheap. I used to tell myself that it’s simply more convenient for me to have all of my domains and domain related products located in the same place.
What the heck was I thinking! Domain name registration and domain privacy are not products that have different levels of quality. They are what they are. Why on earth I spent years paying more for the exact same thing is beyond me.
Since switching to Namecheap I am saving myself a considerable amount of money on yearly domain name registration and domain privacy costs at a fraction of the price that GoDaddy charges. In fact Namecheap offers free privacy for the first year when you transfer your domains over.
I highly recommend Namecheap as your domain name registrar.
#1 for Keyword Research and Competitor Analysis
I use SEMrush on a daily basis for all of my online projects. Why? Because before I worry about things like conversion rates my focus is on getting targeted traffic. When your site has little to no traffic, conversion rate optimization probably won’t be much of a priority for you.
Unfortunately Google has restricted their once free keyword tool to paying AdWords customers only leaving no reliable free options available. Google’s keyword tool used to provide crucial exact-match search data for search and semantic search terms.
If you want to build and grow targeted traffic to your site you’re going to need a professional keyword research tool to complement your content marketing strategy. But SEMrush is much more than a keyword tool, it is a full-suite competitor research and analysis tool as well.
I highly recommend SEMrush to conduct your keyword research and competitor analysis.
